Therapeutic Approach

My clinical approach is centered on somatic and mindfulness-based practices, integrated with well-established, evidence-based therapies. I use body-oriented techniques to help clients process emotions through lived, physical experience rather than solely through cognitive understanding. Mindfulness practices are also incorporated to develop present-moment awareness and emotional regulation. In addition, I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify strengths and practical solutions, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support healing from trauma through coping and cognitive skills, and psychodynamic therapy to explore how early experiences shape current patterns and behaviors. In my work with youth, families, and LGBTQIA+ individuals, I emphasize open dialogue, resilience-building, and the cultivation of affirming, supportive relationships within families and communities. With a warm and attentive presence, I support individuals facing a wide range of challenges by offering consistent care and effective tools to navigate difficult moments.

Areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Identity development

  • Suicidal thoughts

  • Self-harm behaviors

  • Navigating relationship dynamics

I am a relational therapist, focused on supporting youth and families, with extensive experience working in foster care systems, educational environments, and alongside LGBTQIA+ youth. I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. My training emphasized somatic psychology, my work is grounded in empowering clients to take an active role in their healing process. I prioritize creating a therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust and respect, recognizing this foundation as essential for meaningful and lasting change. Outside of my work, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest—whether that’s beachcombing, sailing, or simply taking long walks with my dog. I value time spent with family and friends, getting lost in a good sci-fi or fantasy novel, and tackling the occasional DIY project. These moments help keep me grounded, curious, and connected.
